| About us
Excellence in
family law since 1984
We are committed to providing superb
service to our clients. Our attention to detail, communication skills and commitment to
excellence sets us apart. Our attorneys work as a team. Georgine
Brave, is the founder of our firm. Shawn Weber and Julie Mack became partners in the firm on January 1, 2006.
We keep each other informed and are able to communicate promptly and knowledgeably with
our clients. We are competitive and always willing to go that extra mile for our clients.
Georgine
Brave, our founder, offers an extensive knowledge of the law, 18 years of courtroom
experience, and strong advocacy skills. Ms. Brave is a committed social activist. She and
her team contribute to the community as volunteers. Ms. Brave has been nominated for two
consecutive years by the San Diego Business Journal for their prestigious "Women Who
Mean Business" award.
Listening to our
clients’ needs and concerns
Our lawyers will actually take the
time to acknowledge and hear your concerns and problems. "Learning to really absorb
everything my clients were going through was a very important lesson for me," says
Georgine Brave. "Listening doesn't happen by itself: it takes a conscious decision
and a willingness to release the distraction of rushing in with a reply."
Reducing
confusion and pain
"What I bring to the table as a
family lawyer is a sense of empathy. When I see someone being put through the ringer, I
can totally understand where they are coming from," says Brave. We are adept at
cutting to the heart of a complicated legal issue and communicating with our clients in
very clear and understandable language. We do not indulge in unnecessary legal jargon. We
make your contact with the legal system less confusing and painful.
